History
We have a long-standing history of providing quality products and innovation beginning in early 1945.
In 1945 by Donald Ellis in the family garage, Ellison delivered cookies to their customers.
1948, Ellison outgrew the two-car garage and moved into Ellisville truck stop in Fort Wayne about the same time they signed a contract with Archway.
1948 and 1965, Ellison grew rapidly and moved into the current building in Fort Wayne directly across from the airport.
In early 1980’s, Ellison began to focus on ice cream cookies and related ice cream inclusions winning long standing partnerships with some of the largest ice cream manufacturers across the globe.
Growth continued for Ellison with a 42,000 sq. ft. facility expansion and additional blue chip customers added outside of ice cream. Rapid growth in school products as well as inclusions drove investment in packaging and storage capabilities. Ellison introduced top notch product specification software and completes its first SQF audit.
Company is sold to private equity investment firm. Major investments begin in optimizing plant production as well as IT infrastructure. Constructed new Customer Innovation Center to further Ellison’s reputation for strong R&D customized solutions and customer service.
